Live View is what players see during a game: the timer, messages, Clue counter, media, and end screens. Set it up in All Rooms → Edit → Details, and choose Live view, Success, or Failure under Editing screen. Changes save on their own; the top of the editor shows Saved when they have.

Configure the normal Live View

With Live view selected, work from top to bottom:
  1. Room: check the name, Minutes, and Clues per game, and choose the alert tone. Turn on Play it automatically with every message and clue to play it every time. These settings apply to all three screens.
  2. Backdrop & sound: choose a background color, image, or video, and any Intro video brief or Soundtrack.
  3. Timer, Live message, and Clue counter: turn each on or off and set its look and position. Live message also has an optional Message at game start.
  4. Check the Preview as you work. To match your Room’s screen, type its width and height in the preview header and press Enter. The size saves with the Room; the reset button returns to 1920 × 1080.
If Run the clock from this video is on, the video’s length becomes the game length and the countdown is hidden. Test the complete video on the real Room Station before live use.

Configure both end screens

Choose Success, then Failure, and check each one’s messages, that text is readable over the background, whether the timer shows, and any media.

Test on the player-facing display

The preview shows layout only. Check playback, browser permissions, fullscreen, and viewing distance on the real display:
  1. On the Room Dashboard, select Open Live View.
  2. From where players stand, check the display, then send a test message and alert tone.
  3. Test both end screens, then reset the Room.
