# Start Your Trial and Activate Your Plan

> Complete Stripe checkout and confirm that your Escape Director membership is active.

Use this guide to start your membership. After you sign in, Escape Director
prompts you to choose a plan.

## Start the trial

1. Follow the membership prompt, review the plan, and continue to Stripe
   checkout.
2. Enter your billing details, complete checkout, and return to Escape Director.

>
> Stripe handles the payment form. Escape Director does not ask you to send payment information through chat or email.

## Confirm access

Open **Account Settings → Membership** and check that **Status** is active and
the expected **Plan** is shown. If the app still shows a membership prompt, sign
out and sign back in once.

## If checkout does not complete

* Recheck the billing details shown by Stripe.
* Return to the membership prompt and restart checkout if the previous session expired.
* Do not submit the form repeatedly after a successful payment.
* [Contact support](https://docs.escapedirector.com/account-and-help/help.md) if Stripe confirms success but Escape Director does not show active access.
