# Build Your Rooms

> Configure the player-facing experience and the controls Game Masters use during a live Room Session.

Use these guides to turn a new Room into a tested experience that Game Masters can operate.

## Recommended order

1. [Configure Live View](https://docs.escapedirector.com/build-your-rooms/configure-live-view.md)
2. [Add Puzzles and Clues](https://docs.escapedirector.com/build-your-rooms/add-puzzles-and-clues.md)
3. [Manage Room Media](https://docs.escapedirector.com/build-your-rooms/manage-room-media.md)
4. [Configure Room Automations](https://docs.escapedirector.com/build-your-rooms/configure-room-automations.md) when the Room needs repeatable sequences.
5. [Connect Room Devices](https://docs.escapedirector.com/build-your-rooms/connect-room-devices.md) when the Room has props or other hardware to connect. For props that already send HTTP or MQTT messages, see [Connect Existing Devices](https://docs.escapedirector.com/build-your-rooms/connect-existing-devices.md). For a controller running your own code, see [Build Your Own Controller](https://docs.escapedirector.com/build-your-rooms/build-your-own-controller.md).
6. Open the Room Dashboard and test the complete flow on the real Room Station.

Details, Live View, Puzzles and Clues save on their own, and **Undo** takes back the last saved change. Automations and Devices save when you select **Save**.

## You're ready when...

* Live View is readable on the player-facing display.
* Every Puzzle and Clue appears in the intended order.
* Required images, videos, and audio are available.
* Enabled Automations run their Actions in the intended order.
* Connected props report their state and respond in Test mode.
* The success and failure screens show the intended message.
